I have a couple of friends I want to stay with

Great! We can group you and your friends together, but we try to fill the cabins, so if your group has fewer than seven people in it, we may add a few other attendees to fill the rest of the space. To be grouped with your friends, follow these steps:

• make sure each member of your group has already purchased a cabin ticket
• send an email to cabins@vibe.camp with the full list of email addresses your group used to purchase your tickets and we'll do our best to accommodate you : )

I want to be in a theme cabin!

This is a great option for newer attendees looking to make friends. Head to the cabins channel in the discord server and browse what's been posted already to see if any call out to you. If not - consider founding your own!

Tips for founding a theme cabin

Theme cabins in the past have been straightforward like "the chill cabin" "the party cabin" (when noise levels and bedtimes are the important considerations), organized around interests (people who want to talk about AGI, people who definitely DON'T want to talk about AGI, book-lovers, people who love circling, exercise, or agency and so on), or organized around people/places/regions. Our most robust legacy cabin group is called Piq's Playhouse and is known for being a home for those who feel intimidated by the event or out of their depth. They often even bring furniture and snacks for anyone who wants to drop by for a visit (and they encourage visitors!)

What you form your cabin around and how hard you go on decorations or cabin-wide coordination is entirely up to you. You can choose if you want it to be public, filled with your friends, or if you want people to fill out an application form to be considered for acceptance. Vibecamp as an org would love to see the cabins concept grow over time - the event that takes place on the site directly after us brings rugs, lawn chairs, and other cozy decorations to place outside of many of the cabins! We recommend forming a group chat with your cabinmates - both to get to know each other better, and to coordinate around things like bringing power strips or shared supplies.


Discord is the primary place coordination for cabins has taken place in in the past - but that doesn't mean you couldn't try with a substack post or thread on twitter. Just make sure that everyone on your final list of cabinmates has already purchased a cabin ticket, BEFORE you submit the list of email addresses to cabins@vibe.camp.

I'm bringing children, what are my lodging options?

We welcome families at Vibecamp! Do keep in mind that while Vibecamp is pretty tame as festivals go, it is still a festival. We can't guarantee your children won't overhear something you'd rather they didn't. We also don't offer childcare, and minors are only allowed to swim in the pool if attendees (with training) have volunteered to act as lifeguards. For lodging, there is a cluster of rooms that each have only two beds in them. Reach out to cabins@vibe.camp if you and your family would like to request one of those rooms!
