Vibecamp 5 FAQ

The answer to pretty much any question of "where do I get more information", "where are we organizing this", or "who do I talk to" is in our Discord Server!

DATE & LOCATION

Where is Vibecamp?
Camp Ramblewood
2564 Silver Rd,
Darlington, MD 21034
Camp Ramblewood is a beautiful mixed-use space surrounded by forest and farmland.

When is Vibecamp?
Vibecamp 5 runs from June 18 to June 21, 2026. Check-in will start at 12:00 noon on Thursday and everyone must be off-site by 3:00pm Sunday.

TICKETING

How do I purchase a ticket?
To buy a ticket, you will need to register your email address to create an account on my.vibe.camp – aside from logging in, we will only use it to send updates about the specific Vibecamp you're attending. We only send announcements about other Vibecamp events to people who sign up for our newsletter.

How much are tickets?

Ticket Type Adults Kids 12 and under
Basic Ticket $470.00 $210.00
Cabin Ticket $650.00 $380.00

Kids 2 and Under: Free!

Basic Tickets
This tier gives you access to the event/activities and covers two meals a day (snacks provided). Your entry pass will allow you to camp in your tent on the grounds, sleep in your car, pass out on the grass, or try and find a cuddle buddy to keep you warm at night.

Cabin Tickets
This tier grants you access to everything listed above, AND guarantees you a bed on a tempurpedic mattress in one of the many cabins. Bring your own bedding/sleeping bag/pillow, or add one to your ticket at my.vibe.camp and we'll have it for you when you get to camp.

Low-Income Tickets
We can offer a limited number of 45% discounts on Basic Tickets to low income attendees.

How do I get a low-income ticket?
Apply for a low-income ticket here. Applications must be received by June 5, 2026.

Can I buy tickets for my friends?
‌Yes! You can buy multiple tickets on my.vibe.camp and bring your friends! But be aware, tickets are tied to a specific e-mail address – so you will have to all check in together and only the ticket holder will be able to create activities on my.vibe.camp.

We would like to automate this in the future, but for now if you bought a ticket for a friend and want to put it under their email instead of yours:
1) Have them create an account on my.vibe.camp
2) The original purchaser should send an email to support@vibe.camp from the same email they used to create their account and tell us to transfer a ticket (and bedding, bus spots etc. if applicable) to the other email address.

Can I bring my child?
Yes! Check here for prices. Please be aware that childcare is not provided and that children are not allowed in the pool unless there is a certified lifeguard on duty. That said, at previous vibecamps, families have teamed up to share childcare duties and organize a "kiddie camp." Check the discord for details!

How long do I have to purchase tickets?
Tickets are available until June 14th 11:59:59 PM EST or until we sell out.

Are there refunds available?
We will refund 90% of what you paid for your ticket if you make the request prior to 11:59:59 PM EST on June 7th, 2026. If you need to refund your ticket, please email support@vibe.camp from the same email used to purchase your ticket along with the last four digits of the card used and the date of purchase.

Once we have that information, we will process the refund via Stripe (typically within one business day) and the credit will appear on your card 10 days later.

BADGES

How do I customize my badge?
You can now set this up on your profile on my.vibe.camp!
Just below your name/twitter/discord is a box that shows every name associated with your account. Click the badge link for a name to set up the badge.

If you'd like to use a custom profile picture on that badge, we'll need a URL for a publicly hosted image somewhere on the internet. For example, if you'd like that to be your profile picture from X:
1: Navigate to your profile picture
2: Right-click and copy the image URL
3: Paste that into my.vibe.camp
(You can also copy image URL's from IMGUR or other websites. If the link ends in .jpg/.jpeg/.png we are good to go!)

The deadline for filling out the badge form is June 14th at Midnight ET, so fill it out if you don't want a generic badge!

ACCOMMODATIONS

Will meals be provided?
Yes! The following meals are included for all ticket types: Thursday dinner (6-8 pm), Friday brunch (11 am-1), Friday dinner (7-9pm), Saturday
brunch (11 am-1), Saturday dinner (7-9pm), Sunday brunch (11 am-1). We also intend to have bagels & fruit available for early risers.

What if I have special dietary needs?
There will be a separate buffet line for vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free foods. Allergens will be posted on a chalkboard at the cafeteria for each meal. If you have special dietary preferences please email support@vibe.camp.

Can I bring my own food?
You can! Bringing snacks for yourself between meals is a good idea, and bringing something to share is a great way to make friends. If you want to go big you can even turn it into an activity or project!

Can I use the grills on site?
Yes! There is a big grill just up the hill from the main dining hall that anyone can use. Bring your own charcoal and lighter fluid. And, of course, clean up the area when you're done.

Are bedding, towels, and toiletries provided?
The cabins have bare extra long twin mattresses; but you'll need your own sheets and blankets. The bathrooms will have toilet paper and hand-washing soap and we will make sure everyone has a place to shower...but you'll want your own bar soap, shampoo, towel etc.

Are there onsite lockers or secure storage?
Nope! If you have something you're really concerned about, we recommend making friends with someone who drove in and asking if they can lock it in their car for you.

How big are the cabins?
There's a pretty big variety of "cabin" situations. Some buildings are four bedroom "quads" where each room has 7 beds and they share a multi-stall bathroom. Some are two bedroom "duplexes" with 13 beds on a side and a shared bathroom. There's the "Horseshoe" building with ten 10-bed bedrooms that share a porch and two multi-stall bathrooms between them.

Air Conditioning?
Pretty much no. You might have heard a rumor about there being a Cabin building that has air conditioning, but you can't specifically request it. Box fans or other portable ventilation options are a good idea if you can bring them.

Power Outlets?
Yes! There are power outlets in each cabin as well as at the various other buildings. However, the number of outlets is limited so we encourage attendees to bring power strips if they want to ensure availability of outlets.

Can I stay in my tent/RV/car?
Yes! That's the plan for anyone with a Basic ticket!
Please let us know if you are bringing an RV so we can direct you to park where the ground can handle it. Camp Ramblewood does not have RV hookups.

Where can I camp?
We'll put up signs anywhere that we don't want tents. The fields between the Horseshoe Cabins and Cabin U, the treeline from the cafeteria up to that field, and the clearing across the pond bridge have been popular in the past.

Is there Wifi?
Yes! Ramblewood has upgraded their wifi across camp. You will be able to pay $9 for 1gb internet (no streaming) for the duration of your stay, though actual site coverage can be patchy.

How's data coverage?
3/10. Most major carriers have very mid-coverage at the venue with coverage getting spottier the more downhill you are.

PACKING

Are pets allowed?
Only licensed service dogs.

Can I bring my bicycle?
Yep! Just make sure to bring a lock!

Can I have packages sent directly to Camp Ramblewood ahead of Vibecamp?
YES, you can ship supplies directly to Ramblewood however storage space is limited and shared with other events. Please ensure that all packages are labelled with a name used on your my.vibe.camp profile. Include the name of your Project/Activity if you want to send your collaborators to get it. We will do our best to have all packages available at the White House.

[Your Name]
C/O VIBECAMP - [PROJECT]
2564 Silver Rd Darlington MD 21034

Please be considerate of the site by having packages arrive no earlier than June 1st.

TRANSPORTATION

How do we get there?
Ramblewood is near two major cities; Baltimore and Philadelphia. There is plenty of parking at Ramblewood if you want to drive in.

If you don't want to drive yourself, we will have busses to and from PHL. Buses will leave from PHL at 12pm or 3:30pm on Thurdsday, June 18 and return to the airport from Ramblewood at 9am and 12pm on Sunday, June 21. You can purchase your timed bus ticket at my.vibe.camp.

SOCIAL STUFF

Who is going to Vibecamp?
Capacity is limited to 800 people for vibecamp 5. At our previous events, attendees came mostly from a loose connection of networks on twitter. This included rats, postrats, EAs, burners, tech bros of various stripes, lurkers and people who had never heard of any of those things. The attendees at the first vibecamp were overwhelmingly open, kind, and just downright pleasant to be around. We anticipate that many of those who joined us for our previous events will be returning for vibecamp 5 – and look forward to the opportunity to make so many more new friends!

Can I pick who is in my cabin?
Mostly yes! Cabin recruitment happens on discord. We've deputized @jenalden to collect cabin groups and assign them.

That said, there's a few things to keep in mind:
1) We intend to sell all cabin beds if possible.
2) We will prioritize putting the biggest cabin groups into the smallest cabins that will fit them.
3) We will not promise any particular cabin building to any particular group.
(With the obvious exception of accessibility issues. For example, there's only one cabin built for wheelchair access.)
4) We will do our best to honor as many requests as possible but Cabin Tetris gets a bit jank--especially once we start handling cancellations. Please be welcoming to any surprise additions to your cabin.
5) Cabin placements are done at the account level, which means we have to be able to identify the email address of everyone staying in a Cabin. If you don't want to share that with your cabin mates, please make sure to contact @jenalden so we can match the email with the name you're sharing.

Who do I look to for help during vibecamp?
We will have volunteers on site that will be the point of contact for questions about activities or the site, or if you need to contact an organizer about something more serious. PLEASE report harmful behavior directly to one of the organizers IMMEDIATELY. If it's not time-sensitive, use this form. Regan is now heading the Safety Council, more info coming soon.

Can I be an official shift volunteer at vibecamp?
Not this year! Volunteer spots fill up quickly - reach out to someone on the organizing team later this year to make it more likely you can nab a spot in 2027 : )

MAP

Is there a map of Vibecamp?
Yes!

ACTIVITIES AT VIBECAMP

Waivers?
You do not need to fill out a waiver, but by coming to vibecamp you are agreeing to the terms and conditions.

Can I play music all night long?
There is a decibel restriction of 55 at the border of the venue that will be enforced after 11pm. If it’s getting late and you’re bothering other vibers, we will ask you to quiet down. Some dance parties may go all night, but we'll turn the volume down even more after 2am and chill things out until mid-morning.

How do I contribute to vibecamp?
Do a project or bring content! At the first vibecamp attendees organized art sessions, board games, circling, workshops, dancing, and more. Additionally, you can be a volunteer.

What will happen at vibecamp?
Content and activities hosted by both the organizers and attendees like you. You can see the current list of activities on my.vibe.camp.

How do I organize an activity or make art at Vibecamp?
Go to my.vibe.camp! Once you have purchased a ticket you will be able to create an activity during vibecamp 5. This will show up on our public schedule. Please note that anyone who has a MVC account will be able to see the activities you have created!

What is the nudity policy?
Nudity is a touchy subject that lots of people have strong feelings about, so here's our ask:
1) Please don't be naked in public areas.*
2) Feel free to run nude activities in enclosed areas like the Meeting room (make sure that nudity is in the description!)
3) Please be respectful of others, whether they are freely nude (within these guidelines) or discomfited by nudity.
*Exception, nudity is welcome in and around the pool between 11 PM and 5 AM.

Are you providing grants for attendee hosted projects and activities?
Yes! If you'd like to apply for a grant to help you realize your vision for a project or activity, the application form is here.

Will there be pre and post parties?
Probably! If you want to host one you are welcome to coordinate it on our discord or on twitter or on any other platform you feel like. Historically, Philadelphia has been the schelling point for such things, but you do you.
